I never got sucked in to the “25 things” game.  This, I couldn’t resist.

You get to make an album cover for your band!

Here's how it works: band cover

  1. Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random”
    or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
  2. Go to "Random quotations"
    or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
  3. Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
    or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
  4. Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.
  5. Post it with this text as the caption and TAG the friends you want to join in.

My cover would be to our live DVD, which would release before our first CD, because that is just cool.

Oh, and the gorilla head is just for Janelle.  Ask her sometime about it.

Subject: Your site is featured on SnuggieSightings.com

I wanted to let you know that Andy and Janelle have been featured on SnuggieSightings.com – you can see the video here -

http://snuggiesightings.com/snuggie/andy-from-thehousefmcom-gets-a-snuggie/

If you would like, please feel free to mention the site on air and tell your listeners they can see the video on SnuggieSightings.com. Right now it is at the top of the site. Eventually it will be moved down the list, but they can always find it by searching for the keyword ‘Andy’.

What an awesome idea for a blog.  I am very angry that I did not think of that first.  But anything to spread the love of the snuggie is good for all!  BLANKETS WITH SLEEVES UNITE!

Saw this from some guys I knew in College. They all have a blog together which is very enjoyable. Lots of words, which is the opposite of my blog!

They also have a link where you can make your own bus ad, here

So, California is in deep trouble.  They need cash, and fast.  Good thing they have a former actor at the helm!  Maybe Arnold schwarzenegger should do some ads in Japan.

I have heard a lot of American actors do this so that they keep their credibility while making money on the side.   Because nobody in America will ever see these sill ads, right?

Right???

right?

um...

maybe he is bigger in japan than in america?

... I may never be the same after that. we may have to look at other american actor's forays into japanese commercials in later posts if they are half as funny as this!

Here is the perfect sandwich from the movie, spanglish.

8 thick slices of apple wood smoked, center-cut bacon
4 slices of good Monterey Jack cheese
4 thick slices of rustic white bread, toasted and still hot
2+ tablespoons mayonnaise
6 ripe tomato slices
4 leaves of butter lettuce
2 teaspoons unsalted butter
2 large, very fresh eggs
Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Arrange bacon strips on a cookie sheet and roast about 20 minutes until crisp, turning once. Drain on paper towels and keep warm.

3. Heat an 8 to 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-low heat for 2 minutes. Carefully crack the eggs into separate ramekins, taking care not to break the yolks. Add butter to the skillet and swirl to coat the pan. When the foam subsides carefully pour eggs into the pan one at a time. Cover and cook the eggs for two minutes for runny yolks, or two and a half minutes for soft and creamy yolks that are still a little runny.

4. While the eggs are cooking, place the Monterey Jack cheese slices on two of the pieces of toast and pop into the oven to melt the cheese until just melted. Meanwhile, spread the mayonnaise on the other two slices of toast, and then top those with the bacon, tomato and lettuce. Slide the egg onto the lettuce centered in the middle of the sandwich. Top the sandwiches with the toast with the now melted cheese and cut in half to release the yolks of the cooked egg.

5. What a perfect sandwich!

Here's a video of the wonderfulness.

This blog is deteriorating quickly into a meat only blog. My apologies to any vegetarians reading (including new vegetarians that vowed to never eat meat again after seeing the meat ship a few posts below).

But now you can add bacon to any of your favorite websites, including the house fm!

Click here to see the bacon-infused house fm site!

and if you would like to add bacon to another website, simply copy and paste this:

then type the website at the end of that link.

It looks like the end of an era. From the news today:

A Utah woman listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for her long fingernails has lost them in a car crash. the nails hadn't been cut since 1979, and measured a total of more than 28 feet long in 2008, with the longest nail on her right thumb at 2 feet, 11 inches.

Ok, First off, can we say freaky-deeky? I'm a little surprised that I never saw this woman when I lived in Utah. Then again those nails make me wonder how she ever left her bed at all.

how did she type/write/shower/drive/dress/shake someone's hand?

And more importantly, what made her decide in 1979 to not cut her nails?

Maybe it was like when my nails get long, I will often think "I need to cut those nails when I get home" and then I usually can't find the clippers when I get home or I just forget.

But I wouldn't forget for OVER 25 YEARS! Let us learn from history so we are not doomed to repeat it.

If I had a last meal, this would be it.

First look at the supplies it took to make a meat ship:

Ingredients:20080212-The_Meat_Ship_3
~20 sausages
~48 rashers of bacon
1.2kg of sausage meat
1kg of pork mince
10 franks
1kg of pastry (not 100% meat this time)
1 onion
1 mushroom
2 packets of chipolata sausages
various food colourings
sage

And the MEAT SHIP in its glorious finality:

I’m actually having a heart attack just looking at it.

So I found this awesome Teen Devotional from the 80’s, which has quite possibly the best title of ALL TIME:

Anybody Can Be Cool  … But Awesome Takes Practice!

awesome takes practice

The Blonde guy in the book picture could quite possibly be a younger brent mccoy:  compare and be amazed:

mccoy2 = brent orange ?

or maybe the guy on the book looks more like Zak from Saved By The Bell:

mccoy2= zak sbtb ?

We report, You decide.

Here’s a link to the book on amazon.com – with funny book reviews as well!

I have to ease back into blogging after my time off, so I thought I'd share some random facts about my life:

diving

1

I can't dive. I have tried for years. It is clearly a mental block, but everyone has tried to help me and it doesn't work. Good thing I don't need to know how to dive to be a good DJ!

pinball

2

I LOVE LOVE LOVE pinball. In fact, I visited the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and hope to go again some time. Sometimes I see pinball machines at bowling alleys or arcades, but they are always poorly maintained so it takes the fun out of it. My fav machine EVAR? The Addams Family!

When I was in Junior High / High School, I liked girls but they didn't necessarily like me back. My parents always knew when a girl had broken my heart because they would hear this song blasting from my bedroom upstairs:

If you are a little confused by the music on #3, I went through a Disco stage during my teenage years. That gave way to Techno and Electronic music, which I still enjoy today. I actually want to make a Christian Dance radio show and play it on Friday nights on the House. Of course I haven't really asked anyone if that would be a good idea... let me know if you would like to hear that on friday nights in the comments.

There was one day in my life where I was able to dunk a basketball on a full size hoop! I don't know if it was the shoes I was wearing that day, but everyone was amazed, and I haven't been able to do it since. So there is an extremely random 5 things about my life, now you know more than you ever wanted to about me and my glory days of past!

I’m in the frozen north this week (Milwaukee) and we had our “Christmas” with Colleen’s family.  They got me some great clothes.  And nothing from this video.  That’s probably a good thing for my coworkers at least.

I have picked up some new dance moves for the house party next week, however.

From the mailbag-

Hello, I am a youth leader for Youth on the Rock in Bucyrus Ohio. We just posted a new skit on YouTube that is very powerful. It has recieved over 400 views in a week and a half. We were wondering if you would consider putting it on your website for a day or two, so the message of Christ can go out even further? What ever you can do with it would be much appreciated by us and by our Lord. Here is the link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddc90O5XY54
Thank you and God Bless,
