I read a story today about the "worst tennis player in the world" - Robert Dee. When I first read this I thought that this guy was a loser, but I read this from the article:

He had been blown out in Iran, pounded in Venezuela, humiliated in Mexico, Sudan, Senegal, Rwanda. It was 0-108 in sets, too. If at first you don't succeed, fail, fail again.

Dee had tied the record of Diego Beltranena of Guatemala, having lost 54 consecutive matches on the international pro tennis circuit. In 2008, Dee got his first career victory at that level.

He may lose a lot more than he ever wins, but if you think about it, he wouldn't have a chance to lose if he never tried.

So whatever you have always wanted to do, DO IT! Don't be afraid to be called the worst _______ in the world! Fail Gloriously!

So The House Party is moving to 5 PM on Monday. Jenn and I will still be hosting, the only thing that is changing is the time of the awesome. But we wanted to take some time in our final week at 8PM to look back at the awesome callers that make the show possible. Here is the first collection, from the very beginning of my reign as House Party host:

The Thunder had a tough time against the Lakers on Sunday, but if we, as a state united in cause, defeat this one thing, our Thunder will win the series. It's not just about containing Kobe Bryant, it is eliminating the facial expression I like to call the "Kobe Face"

That's the face you get when he makes the most insane shots ever, almost like sticking his tongue out but in a grown-up way.

How can you help stop Kobe Face? by eliminating the cousin, "duck face" which is usually found in many peoples (especially younger girls) profile pictures on Myspace and Facebook:

Of course, celebrities doing it only encourages everyone else (they should know better!)

So instead of "Duck Face" or "Kobe Face", perhaps making this face will stop the Lakers when they come to Oklahoma City:

Go Thunder!

It is the 15th anniversary of the bombing of the Murrah building in downtown Oklahoma City, and a time to look back and reflect on how that changed the landscape and attitudes of Oklahomans (and everyone in the USA) forever. To see the Lessons Learned, go to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Website. I think one thing I learn from this tragedy, along with any other disaster is a quote I heard one time:

In times of tragedy, I ask not "Where is God" but "Where are God's people"

Let us always be ready to love outrageously.

I don't know if you play rock band, but in my household, it is a family affair. I'm doing lead vocals, my wife is on bass, my brother on guitar, and my 3 1/2 year old son rocking the drums!

So of course we were pumped to see 6 awesome christian bands with awesome songs in a "track pack" to download! The list is:

Anberlin – “Feel Good Drag”
Hawk Nelson – “Live Life Loud”
Skillet – “Monster”
Superchick – “Stand in the Rain”
Switchfoot – “Meant to Live”
Thousand Foot Krutch – “Fire It Up”

And here is a video of my brother drumming to Live Life Loud:

More information can be found at Rock Band's Official Website.

J-izzle and I were talking about Mosquito Ringtones last night. They are very high pitched tones that, depending on the frequency, only people younger than a certain age can hear. We were talking about why you would want this instead of a normal message tone, and I said I thought it was better than this:

As soon as I said it, my brother called and said "you've gotta make that a ringtone!" so feel free to listen and download to your heart's desire, and maybe sneak it on a friends phone to freak them out next time you send them a text!

Be sure to let me know the most annoying ringtone you've ever heard in the comments below.

We haven't heard from Country Bob since he was really excited about cash for clunkers, so he wanted to let you know that he's doing OK, and has something for people that may be on hard economic times.

Download the "Blue Screen of Death Screen Saver" and put it on a co-worker or friend's computer, and get ready for them to freak out every time the screen saver pops up. for best results, make their screen saver run after 1 minute :) - download the screen saver and find the instructions here.

Another trick that J-izzle pulled on me today is to switch the mouse button functions on a victim's computer. Details to do that are here.
